Course overview

Sometimes, if you’re lucky, good ideas just seem to fall from the sky. Like that Sir Isaac Newton guy. One minute he was relaxing under a tree and the next… BOOM! The idea for gravity lands in his lap. Unfortunately, thinking up new ideas isn’t always that simple. Being creative in our fast-paced, ever-changing world just gets harder and harder. Thankfully, there are things you can do to help boost your creative-thinking skills.

Creative thinking isn’t just for artists, philosophers, and scientists. It’s a skill we all need. In fact, creativity is regarded by employers as one of the most highly valued soft skills. By thinking creatively, we can be more open-minded, innovative, and better problem solvers. This course will show you how.

Learning objectives:

  • Define your own creative-thinking process
  • Identify possible barriers to creativity
  • Adopt creative-thinking tools in your work
