    In 2017, BusinessBalls entered into a partnership with Leadership and Management training providers Accipio. Whilst Alan Chapman (the founder and owner of BusinessBalls since 1999) remains the creative force behind the site, Accipio is responsible for the maintenance and day-to-day running of the site whilst he pursues other projects.

    If you are looking to convert your Leadership and Management training from BusinessBalls into an official, internationally-recognised qualification, Accipio are the trainers for you. The courses they offer vary vastly in the levels of experience and knowledge required, and the length of the study period - and as such, it is easy for you to find the qualification which is right for you. These can range from UK NVQ level 3 awards in Leadership, to 36-month long Management Apprenticeship schemes.

    The qualifications can be achieved fully remotely - though there is the opportunity for one-to-one tuition and support - and the courses and learning resources are tailored individually for our learners' needs.

      Aspiring Manager Programmes (Level 3)

      Who is this level for?

      New or Aspiring Managers.

      The Level 3 in Leadership and Management is ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities.

      What will I get out of it?

      A range of key management skills. 

      Put new skills into practice in your own role, build your leadership capabilities, motivate and engage teams and manage relationships confidently.

          Developed for middle managers aspiring to senior management, this qualification is designed to improve personal management capabilities through effective decision making and strategic leadership.

            Senior Leaders Programmes (Level 7)

            Who is this level for?

            Executives or Operational Managers.

            For executives, or operational managers, at a senior level in an organisation who may have hit a glass ceiling or simply want to develop the skills to be a confident and effective leader at this level.

            What will I get out of it?

            Strategic Leadership Skills

            Understand and critically evaluate different leadership theories. Analyse a critical incident with a potentially significant impact on an organisation, to judge how the organisation’s leaders performed. Tools to understand, assess and improve your leadership abilities, in the context of your organisation.

            What will my employer get?

            Senior managers who understand strategic leadership in the context of your organisation, and who are self-aware and take responsibility for self-development.

              Management Apprenticeships

              What is it?

              Employers with a paybill of over £3m need to pay 0.5% of this to the government as a Management Apprenticeships levy.

              However, they can then use this money to effectively secure a free leadership and management programme for their people.
              If they do not use their levy with 24 months, they lose it.
              We find that a number of organisations are replacing their existing leadership, management and talent programmes with levy funded programmes.

              Who is it for?

              It is for everyone in your organisation (both existing and new employees), and we have programmes that target aspiring managers, middle managers and senior leaders (including the CEO).

              Our programmes typically last for 2 years, and require about 1 day per week to focus on improving their organisation and developing leadership and management skills.
              At the end of our programmes, participants receive a Diploma from the CMI or ILM.
